How to make your first $1,000 with TikTok affiliate marketing
Ninety percent of TikTok affiliate advice is written by people who never made a sale. This is not that.
The only formula that works
High-intent niche × low-friction offer × 30 posts in 30 days. Not more, not less.
Step 1 — Pick a niche you'd read about for free
Skincare, budget travel, home coffee, small-dog gear, side-hustle tools. If you can name three creators in it, the market exists.
Step 2 — Pick offers with a real payout
Skip the 4% Amazon offers unless you have volume. Look at TikTok Shop, Impact, PartnerStack, and direct brand deals — 15–40% commissions are normal in DTC.
Step 3 — Write 30 hooks before you film anything
"POV:", "I tried X for 30 days", "The [product] no one talks about", "Stop buying X, get this instead". Write them all in a doc first.
Step 4 — Film in batches
Ten videos in one sitting, on your phone, natural light. Perfectionism is the killer here.
Step 5 — Post at 7am, 12pm, 8pm local
Same offer, three angles, three days. The algorithm needs volume to figure out who to show you to.
Step 6 — Read the leaderboard, not the likes
Sort your posts by sales per view. Kill the losers, reshoot the winners.
Realistic timeline
- Week 1: 0 sales, you'll want to quit.
- Week 2: 1–3 sales, and you'll figure out your voice.
- Week 3: your first "why did this one blow up" moment.
- Week 4: enough data to double down.
Most creators quit in week one. Don't.
